Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival at Marrakech :

The first day of this 8 Days Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Desert, we will be waiting in the airport to take you to a Riad in Marrakech. In that Riad, which is a beautiful Moroccan built hotel, you will dinner and spend your first day in Morocco.

Day 2: Marrakech Guided city tour:

The second day will be devoted to walk throughout Marrakech streets and discover the beauty and the authenticity of the city. Exploring Marrakech will not be ourselves, instead, there will be a guide who will lead us to visit the most famous places in the city such as, Majorelle gardens , also the Koutoubia tower, the Saadian tombs and Bahia Palace. Afterwards, we will have time to explore the city by ourselves, and by the end of the day, we will head back to our hotel for accommodation.

Day 3: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazete – dades Gorges :

The third day of these 8 Days Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Desert, shall start after breakfast. Later on, we will drive towards the Dades Gorges. The way towards the Dades, which will be via Tizi N Tishka, will be rich and full of interesting cities and places to visit such as Ouarzazate which is a famous touristic city, and the Kasbah of Ait Ben Hadou which is considered a world heritage. The moment we arrive at the Dades, we will spend the our night in one of the Dades’ hotels.

Day 4: Dades – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga desert :

The fourth day’s destination is the desert of Merzouga. in this day, we will seek Merzouga, which is very famous for its high dunes, and drive via several towns and villages including Tinghir, Arfoud and Rissani. Once we reach Merzouga, we will choose a local hotel to rest and spend our night in. Continues of our 8 days tour from Marrakech in the next day.

Day 5: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi 4 ×4 tour and camel rides :

The fifth day’s program of this 8 days tour from Marrakech is a tour in Merzouga on 4×4 vehicles. After waking up in early morning and having a delicious breakfast, we will go to discover the regions of Merzouga and visit the countryside villages and souks. Later on, we will head back to Merzouga and from there; we will experience the feeling of riding camels over the duns and under the instructions of a local Guide who will lead us to a nomad tent in the heart of the desert. And there, in the middle of desert, we will spend our night and enjoy some delicious traditional meals as well as the mint tea.

Day 6: Merzouga – Prefecture – valley of the Draa – Ouarzazate :

In the sixth day of these 8 days tour from Marrakech, we will wake up early, enjoy the sunrise then ride back camels to our hotel in Merzouga. And after breakfast and a shower, we will go in a journey towards Ouarzazate. On the way, we will pass by Anif and Nkob. Once we arrive at Ourzazate, we will spend the night there in a hotel.

Day 7: Ouarzazette – Tizi n Tichka pass montain – Marrakech :

The seventh day’s program includes a tour in Ouarzazate and its region then a journey to Marrakech. this day shall begin with a delicious breakfast, the a visit to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and Talouet kasbah. After wards, we will drive via Tizi Ntishka and seek Marrakech, where we will pick a hotel or Riad for accommodation.

Day 8: Marrakech Airport :

The eighth day will be the last day of 8 days from Marrakech to Merzouga. In this day, we will enjoy our breakfast at the hotel and wait the flight’s time to take to the airport. By this our services and duties end also our 8 days tour from Marrakech end.

Our experience as 3 female friends with Marrakech to Desert was one of the best parts of our vacation to Morocco. We were picked up in Marrakech in a large 4-wheel drive Toyota SUV, which proved more than capable of handling the mountain roads, and the off-road rocks and sand en route to the camp in the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. The ride was very comfortable, we were provided ample bottled water, and any stop we wished along the journey (which included nice bathrooms and beautiful accommodations). The journey and our experiences in the Sahara were excellent, but most of all, our guide "Matthew" was informative, open to answering any question we lobbed at him, and he had a great sense of humor. Talking with him made the hours of the long journey fly by. Highly recommend Top Desert and ask for Matthew!

We had the pleasure of traveling from Marrakech to the Sahara last week with Marrakech to Desert. An experience of a lifetime! Our guide, who we nicknamed 'Matthew', was knowledgeable, kind, fun and someone we actually enjoyed sharing this journey with. He gave us a fascinating window into Moroccan life, happily indulged our many requests and kept us safe and entertained throughout the trip. Arriving at the camping (glamping) site in the desert, we couldn't have asked for a better host in Mumbarek - what a delightful, charming set up and the staff truly made us feel like family. We would recommend this tour service for anyone looking for the best of the best and a bucket list experience.

We did the 8 days tour to erg chebbi. We were very lucky to have Nourdin as our wonderful guide! He was very accommodating and because it was just us 4 and him, we could customize our trip and choose which stops we wanted to take. The desert camping itself was a once in a lifetime experience, though the first night was a bit rough due to high winds and sand, which made it difficult to cool off the tent since we could not leave the windows open. Just be aware that there is no AC. It did get better towards late evening though and the Sahara sunrise and sunset were absolute magical. The crew at the luxury merzouga camp were also super nice and helpful. We enjoyed sandboarding and the camel ride. Overall, such a great experience that I would highly recommend.
