Itinerary:

Day 1 : Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarazazate – Dades Gorges :

Our seven days tour from Marrakech to Fez passing by Merzouga’s desert starts in your accommodation. First, we will pick you up from your hotel or from the airport and drive towards the Dades Gorges. The way towards the Dades will be rich and full of interesting cities and places to visit such as Ouarzazate which is a famous touristic city, and the Kasbah of Ait Ben Hadou which is considered a world heritage. The moment we arrive at the Dades, we will spend the first day of our tour in one of its hotels.

Day 2 : Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga desert :

The second day’s destination of this tour from Marrakech to Fes is the desert of Merzouga. in this day, we will seek Merzouga, which is very famous for its high dunes, and drive via several towns and villages including Tinghir, Arfoud and Rissani. Once we reach Merzouga, we will choose a local hotel to rest and spend our night in.

Day 3 : Merzouga desert 4×4 tour :

The third day’s program is a tour in Merzouga on 4×4 vehicles. After waking up in early morning and having a delicious breakfast, we will go to discover the regions of Merzouga and visit the countryside villages and souks. And by the end of the day, we will seek our hotel for accommodation.

Day 4 : Merzouga – desert camp :

The fourth day’s program includes free time to tour Merzouga and a night in the middle of the desert. In this day, you will have time to go and walk via Merzouga’s streets by yourself and explore the neighbors. Afterwards, we will leave to the high dunes of Erg Chebbi on camels and enjoy the golden sand as well as the quiet amazing atmosphere of Sahara. After enjoying the sunset, we will head to a nomadic tent in the heart of Sahara and spend the night there.

Day 5: Merzouga desert – Rissani – Midelt – Fez :

The fifth day’s destination is Fez. In the morning, we will wake up and enjoy the sunrise, then head to our hotel in Merzouga for Breakfast. Afterwards, we will seek Fez via the Atlas Mountain’s villages and towns such as Midelt, Azrou and Ifran. However, during this journey we will stop to take some lovely pictures in places that deserves to. And by the end of the day, we will be in one of Fez’s hotels for accommodation.

Day 6 : Fez guided tour :

The sixth day of this tour will be devoted to discover Fez. Touring Fez will be accompanied with a local guide, and with his instructions we will have the chance to visit most famous places in a short time and enjoy the tour. By the end of the day, we will seek our hotel for accommodation.

Day 7: Fez – Marrakech :

In the last day of this tour, we will leave from Fez and seek Marrakech. Once we arrive at Marrakech, the tour and our duties end. The end of our tour from Marrakech to Fes.

We did the 7 days tour of the desert, really enjoyable experience from start to finish! Excellent luxury accommodations for both nights, very comfortable drive with 4×4 and more importantly our guide Hassan has been always very friendly and helpful in answering all our questions! Superb organisation, highly recommended!

We went on a 10-night Moroccan vacation with Mohammad (Perez) as our tour guide for MTD from late June to early July. Mohammad was a wonderful guide as were the supporting guides who took us on some specialized tours (Pez, Marrakesh, etc.). Mohammad was ALWAYS waiting for us at least 15 minutes prior to all arranged times, and I'm still amazed how he stayed awake and alert through all of the long drives! He was also more than happy to take us off the beaten path or accommodate our requests. Destinations were well organized, and as we were traveling with our two teen-age sons, we had two adjoining rooms at every location. Everything was pretty much planned for us. Hotels were decent; perhaps we could have spent more money for slightly better accommodations, but they were fine. Most hotels included breakfast which was great. Overall great trip. Rough Tours was also very accommodating with payment; beyond down payment I was a bit nervous about paying upfront; they allowed me to pay along the way.

We just came back from an 7-day tour around Morocco with MTD. It was a wonderful vacation: perfectly organized, truly enjoyable, informative, safe and just pure fun. Our guide/ driver, Youssef was an amazing source of information and the most intelligent, professional, tactful and attentive guide imaginable. We barely had to do any preparation, everything - from exquisite hotels to the camel ride in the desert, a lovely dinner under the stars, guided tours of the big imperial cities, etc etc etc- were arranged for us well beyond our expectations. We could just focus on trying to absorb as much as possible. I am especially grateful for the kindness and thoughtfulness we received when one of our teens got sick to his stomach:Youssef and his colleagues at MTD took excellent care of him, allowed us to stay in out hotel room for another day but didn't let us pay for it, and they made sure he didn't completely miss out on the day's adventures either. THANK YOU!!! I would give this company 12 stars if I could.
